Indian Arm (8 Hours)

We start our day cruising Captains Impatient out from Coal Harbour and head east past Canada place, while watching Sea planes land and take off right beside us, also enjoying the sites of the busy inner harbour with the large ships moving to load or unload their next cargo! Children (And aren’t we all children at heart) just love to experience these sites as we continue east and under the second narrows bridge and past Deep Cove. Belcarra Regional Park is located on the east shore of Indian Arm near the entrance. The park enjoys two lakes, 4 miles of shoreline and complete facilities, a popular stop for those who wish. Within 40 minutes you would think you are a hundred miles from a major city and towering mountains 5000 feet are right on your side!! While enjoying the peaceful 11 mile cruise up the arm you will also be able to enjoy the sites of Granite Falls, an ideal place to see and take some beautiful photographs, drop the anchor and hang out on a warm day. In 1996, the Indian Arm Marine Park was expanded from the Twin Islands and Racoon Island to include most of the fjord and Croker Island and granite Falls are now part of the park.

Of course also on Captains Impatient we always like to enjoy to drop some crab traps on the way in and when returning pick them up and in almost all cases with success so may enjoy some fresh Dungeness Crab!!! The return trip is about 36 miles, a wonderful area to visit with always calm water and enjoy the wonderful sites of wilderness and also the inner harbour of Vancouver!
